Skilled Care
St. Luke's is a fully licensed skilled care facility. In keeping with our mission statement, all of our employees seek to provide a "ministry of gentle service" for our residents. The goal of our increasingly "resident centered" care is to make life at St. Luke's as home-like as possible while maintaining the safety, dignity and freedom of each resident.
Licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants provide complete nursing care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Doctors make regular visits.
The nutritional needs of our residents are met by a trained dietary staff who work with our residents and their families to provide a variety of well balanced meals planned with the individual needs and wishes of our residents in mind. Coffee hour is held daily for residents and their guests in the lovely dining - solarium room. Snacks are available afternoons and evenings.
The full time social service staff are available to assist families with the admission procedure and through individual and group sessions in an effort to make the transition to St. Luke's as easy as possible for all involved. They continue to be of support to families and residents with regard to financial matters or other concerns that may arise during a resident's stay. Our social service staff strives to maintain our resident's highest level of independence and maintain their dignity while meeting their psychosocial needs.
A resident council meets monthly to discuss important issues that pertain to the residents. The resident council promotes a positive atmosphere among the residents and assists our staff in identifying issues that help promote quality care.
Every employee at St. Luke's is dedicated to our "ministry of gentle service" and making each resident's stay comfortable and fulfilling.
